C J's Southern Tradition in LaFayette

Do not eat here often but they have pretty decent food. They are one of the only places in town that a person can get a vegetable plate on Sunday. For that reason alone they get one extra star. They also have a clean place with friendly and courteous service. All in all good place to eat.

Can't beat a hamburger steak. The service is excellent as always.

My family ate there for the first time last week. It was great, the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back.

Best fried chicken I have ever had! If you really want down home southern cooking...this is the best place I've had. All freshly made too!

This is one of the better restaurants in LaFayette. I always like to support locally owned businesses when I can and CJ's doesn't disappoint. They are sit-down but quick enough you can stop in for lunch and be back to work within the hour.

There was not enough steak 4 my plate we feel like the okra n mac n cheese wasnt fresh either n gave only 1 little biscuit on my plate n my wife plate the fish was small n the vegetables wasnt fresh to her either the tea good good needs improve on the side of the meal probably will not b going back not unless they in improve

ALWAYS good comfort food...they were super busy yesterday (7-28-19) and understandably it took a little longer than usual to get our food but everyone was great and apologized for the wait. Such a great family run restaurant with REALLY good food!

Use to work here, the owner helped me out once when I needed it. Food is decent, rolls are great. I left because it was unsafe, I fell several times, once down a slippery flight of stairs. I was badly hurt, and they did nothing for me. Instead of an apology, they teased me about it. Bruised ribs and a cracked tailbone.... Not fun! I hope they fixed it since then.

I give one star for the friendly staff. I ordered a chef salad that wasn’t worth the price they charged, nor my effort to type out how disappointing it was.

Chicken is excellent. Best chicken in town. Salad is also very good.

We travel from Chattanooga to meet friends and always eat at CJ's. They gave the best catfish than anyone around. Their pintos taste just like my grandma's used,to when she cooked them all day on her pot belly stove. And the service is excellent....they always treat you like their goid neighbor. Only wish they were open on Mon and,Tues too!...

This was the first time I have eaten here. It was really good. I had the chicken tenders fried okra and mac and cheese. Everything was really good. The employees were amazing. Super nice people. Clean and cute place.

Great food, great service, and the sweet tea is amazing. If you love ranch dressing, the have homemade dressing here.

The $8 salad was simply iceberg lettuce, sprinkled with shredded cheese, one tomato slice, three strips of green pepper and perhaps one chicken finger cut into pieces = not worth the price. Great staff members throughout.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. Family-owned and operated, in a beautiful house. The service and food are welcoming.
